Ranga Horse™ Assembly Instructions

Ranga Horse™ Assembly Instructions

WARNINGS

      1. The Ranga Horse™ must be fabricated as per these instructions to ensure correct fitting, load paths and OHS requirements are met.
      2. The strength of the assembled Ranga Horse™ is significantly affected by timber quality as well as assembled height. Must remain within the recommended limits.
      3. The Ranga Horse™ brackets are designed for a maximum height of 1200mm using MGP10 timber of dimensions 90 x 35mm.
      4. Maximum Working Load Limit (WLL) ≤ 250[kg] Per Saw Horse SEE NOTE 2.

PLEASE NOTE: RANGA HORSE™ ARE ASSEMBLED UPSIDE DOWN TO ENSURE BRACKETS ARE SQUARE TO TIMBERS FOR LOAD TRANSFER BETWEEN TOP CHORD AND LEGS.

 Ranga Horse Instructions Step 1

STEP 1

Attach each Ranga Horse™ bracket to top cord timber Max. 900mm apart with 4 TEK screws (per bracket) through holes provided in bracket. Ensure brackets are pushed down firmly and square to top cord timber.

    Ranga Horse Instructions Step 2

    STEP 2

Insert each leg timber into Ranga Horse™ bracket slots, ensuring timber butts firmly onto top cord before securing with a Single TEK screw per leg initially. SEE NOTE 1.

      Ranga Horse Instructions Step 3

      STEP 3

Stand Ranga Horse™ upright and move legs timbers until they have located into a secure position, then install the second TEK screw (per leg) thus fully securing leg timber(s) in position.

        STEP 4

Use two Ranga Horse™ sawhorses with a maximum recommended spacing between Ranga Horse™. SEE NOTE 3.

          Range Horse Instructions Step 5

          STEP 5

The Ranga Horse™ sawhorses is designed to support electrical cable reels, but recommend shorter legs for stability, screw supporting CHS or Wooden Bar through lower holes with TEK Screws. SEE NOTE 2.

            NOTE 1

TEK screw(s) Type: 12Gx25mm, used to secure all timbers onto the bracket(s). Ensure that timber used is MGP10 grade and free of defects such as knots, splits and cracks etc.

            NOTE 2

The purpose of using a single screw in each leg is to allow the leg to pivot within the bracket when flipped onto its legs, thus ensuring good load transfer between legs and top chord. This minimizes vertical loads on screws. The second screws are equally important and are used to ensure the leg is firmly secure in all locations.

            NOTE 3

Larger spans between brackets, and taller legs can be used, but critically the load limit reduces above the above maximum dimensions. Match the bracket spacing and leg length below 1200mm.

            NOTE 4

The cable reel support requires the use of either a wooden or steel CHS section of 34mm maximum dimension to support the reel.
